Cheers all :) - yep the oranges on the armor reflect the base colours (well that's the idea hopefully).

I once ask Mike McVey how long it took him to paint the original Green Knight when he worked in the Eavy Metal team (I had the pleasure of meeting him and seeing the original Green Knight at a Golem painting event a few years back).
He told me 5 days at 8 hours a day, so I make that 40 hours!
I reckon im past the 40 hours now lol.

As long as you keep putting out these stunning pieces Ten i don't think anyone has a right to complain about how long it takes. It takes me about a year to paint a mini so as long as you can beat that I would say your golden.

Well worth every second, my only 2p is the fist looks a little harsh on the contrast, maybe soften the green??

Thanks all :)
Dennis - yep ive soften the greys with some pastel blues. Loads of painting and again looks the same lol
Wont get it finished for Euro next week but I think is more of a Golden Demon style of mini anyway.

Maybe try 'pooling' a very dilute white glaze or space wolves grey into it? i've had some success b4 with that, kinda find then it's easier to make darker than vive versa. lovely sheen of the horse, always a pain in the btm with freehand ;) defo a gw piece

It's coming along! The shading on the horse blanket (barding?) is looking good and his leg armor is looking nice too.

I know, I know progress is slow but not for the lack of painting. 4 hours last night (*in a wisper* but i'm enjoying every minute :) )
As for dipping, I would of but lent all my dip to Andy who used it all on his last project :soldier::laugh:

Dennis - Smack on buddy. I took your advice and glazed over with space wolves grey and im really pleased with the result, it blended the colours in nice and stopped them looking 'patchy'. :good:

Took a photo with the knight in place to get a feel of the overall look. Still lots to do but im happy with the armor now and the choice of mint green againt's the skeletons.

Just waiting for the big streamer to flow in a semi circle around the scene, enveloping them all and framing the composition :)

Seriously though, this is so damn good!! I can here the bone rattling as he bowls into the bony contingent. Sounds something akin to a bowling alley.

How, just how on earth do you do it ?
Everything is so accurate, precise and well executed. I couldn't help noticing things like the highlighted edge of the sword on the far left, it is a consistent perfect thickness along the length of the sword.
Things like that show to me just what a talent you are. I m as green as your knight with envy.
