Thank you, it's my first time doing a turquoise, I quite like it. I didn't even have the color in set of paints, had to mix it myself. lol

More work on the armor. No piece is ever really finished, as I start a new section I keep touching up parts of older sections. I don't know if I'll ever truly finish this model. haha

Great armour, I like the colour a lot. And the work you have done with the shadows just pushes it's relieve further. Good luck at Crystal brush with your entries ;)

Thanks guys, this figure is really fun to paint. I'm liking the even larger scale. Diggs, I never saw GotG so I'll take your word for it, haha. I should probably watch it though.

Here's where he is at now, probably won't be touched at all this weekend due to Adepticon/CB

First day of CB down, so many amazing entries already. Most of the top Euros are there already and handed stuff in, saw on facebook that Camelson just got there, probably the last one to hand in today. We have a great contingent of CMON people that handed in already, everything looks great. Sadly I forgot my good camera today, so all I have are a few bad cellphone pics.

Here's Karol Rudyk's piece:

Don't know who did this one, maybe Jessica Rich? It seems like the type of work she would do:

Wow, can't wait to check it out tomorrow. I just heard Michael Kontraros was there. If so, that last one could be one of his pieces. Looks like the sort of sculpt he does

Indeed! Kyriakos Simos, who painted the diorama with the book, talked to Bailey and I about freehanding. I learned so much in just 30 minutes.

Got home from CB today and started painting again. I'm not too upset about missing the finals cut, it only pushes me to work harder and get better. Here's where the AWL is at now:

Well CB is over for another year and now I'm back home. I had a blast this year, so many amazing artists were here and they were all ready and willing to share their vast experience. I'd also like to give a big thank you to BAM and Bailey for everything they've taught me over the weekend. Now, here's pictures of them winning their trophies!

There's BAM triumphantly flinging his badge after accepting his bronze for Fantasy Unit. He then ran out of the room because he had a flight to catch.

Bailey getting silver for Historical Single.

It was an insanely tough competition this year, and there were some surprises. As for overall winner, there was no surprise, Atonement won.

Well, if for the 3rd year in a row I don't finish my planned large scale entry the AWL could be my Crystal Brush entry. Honesty, after seeing the level of competition this year I'm glad I've been holding out on this large scale piece and not rushing a job just to enter it. Either way, the AWL will definitely be at the World Model Expo.
