As for putting out good players, there\'s good and there\'s legends. McGrath and Warne are legends. You won\'t see their like again in a hurry.

Warne and Freddie should be named joint POS.

We\'ve been getting your coverage here in Australia so I\'ve seen the ad a few times - It\'s a classic. It\'s good to see that Warney doesn\'t mind taking the piss out of himself anymore (mind you I\'m sure he was paid well for it).

As for a joint POS I\'d go along with that - take either player out of their team and they would have been in serious trouble. That said if Freddie is the sole winner (which is likely seeing as you guys will win) I wouldn\'t be too annoyed - he\'s a bloody good player.

Losing McGrath and Warne will certainly hurt - after Brett Lee, Sean Tate is the best of the rest by quite some margin so Australia will probably struggle for a while. I must say though - it seems like you\'re enjoying the prospect of a crappy future Australian cricket team a little too much... Success is generally fleeting for English teams (just look to Rugby for a great example of that) so enjoy it whilst you can. :p

We had a bad series against New Zealand a while ago. Next time we flogged them. We prepared better. I\'m not saying this is going to happen this time, but one series does not make world champions. At the end of the day Ponting will have to live with losing the Ashes.

BTB if they let Warnie have his pills back he\'d be neither bald or fat.

Cricket in this country is on the up. We should stay pretty consistent over the next few years.

The powers that be realised that we needed an academy and that young talent needed to be brought through, so they invested in it. We\'ve got quite a few decent players coming through now and apparently the next step is to revive the art of spin bowling amongst our youngsters....:D

Our rugby team was full of old men. Hmmm, who does that sound like.....:D

As for the \'one series\' thing, I think you\'ll find that we\'ve won six on the bounce now including SA and WI away! Next up is India and Pakistan away. That\'s more of a test than the Aussies! Then it\'ll down to spank the Aussies in front of their own crowd!!!lol

I\'ll draw your attention to my first postings on this very topic Master Monkey. Pride goes before the fall. Oh, and I believe you got the idea of an academy and a fair number of your coaches from us. The players are another matter, you have more English players these days.

Well, I\'ve been off CMON all weekend...

...because I\'ve been watching the cricket.

Back at bloody work and now listening to the cricket.

It\'s toooo tense.
127/5 at lunch. We need at least to be there at tea
then it turns into a 20:20 slog.

Anyone know a good stress counsellor?

You Aussies are clutching at straws. Pietersen is doing a sterling job. Collingwood is doing great just staying put. If we can waste another couple of hours, we\'ll be fine.

As for the academies and coaching, you\'re damn right we took our cue from you lot. Same as we have done with the way we\'re now attacking the game and the run rate we are achieving.

Play you at your own game....:D

The only mistake England made this summer was putting Bell in the team instead of Thorpe.
