Dude you dont want to see what the rest of the Army looks like :(... it was painted 7+ years ago... and on top of that it took me twice as much to paint a 5 man squad... God bless CMoN and the day that I found it by mistake... lol:drunk: I will probably enlighten you guys with some pics of the old stuff If I decide to post some tonight... so you can see the \"evolution\" in my painting skills as I call it. Progression is not enough to describe the leaps and bounds I have taken (and still am to take) in this hobby... Just stand-by for some more pics later... Ugly mini\'s that is!!!

Thanks guys! I am really proud of this bastard here... I just need to get the backpack in from BW bits and get it painted, but this guy is done! I can go back to painting Ravenwing now...

I think it\'s really well done, but I do think it\'s a bit strange that it doesn\'t match the other plasma weapons. That\'s what I hate about plasma guns, you want to paint them up special but you still want them to blend in with the rest of the models in your squads.

I\'m not sure how I\'m gonna do the bolter/plasmagun on my Master for that very reason.

I wanted this guy\'s to be \"special\", cause he is my specially painted guy... jajajaja just kidding. My plasma pistols I wanted to do this way, to make them look different from a bolt pistol... that\'s just me though... i see what you guys mean though. But... it is already painted can\'t go back now can I ???... you should have told me earlier lol

well i was going to do a preheresy army but now you and jericho have made me wanna paint them green. i hope to one day recreate a similar effect from the both of you in my army.

Well, working on a Land Speeder Tornado, an Attack Bike and a Librarian.... no pics yet though. :0 :)

I did promise some pic of old suff... jeje... have a laugh and be in awe n the lack of ability to put paint on mini\'s... jjajaja I laugh every time I look at these...

Also so you see what happens when you play mostly at home... you dont need painted mini\'s and you never will ???

Thanks Starks. I have seen those before, that color is built up from Graveyard Earth up to white but very little in between, kind of the same way it is done in the GW website with the new DA\'s. Thanks again for the tip but I just dont like that color personally. I\'d rather paint them in maroon color. Which I might do some pre-heresy stuff with maroon robes. Whoohoo! lol

Some nice terminators there! I must admit the old metal ones where alot better than the newer ones. My mate hunted high and low to complete his squad of them a few years ago after they made them all plastic.

Very cool old army, they\'re head and shoulders above my first two armies. For me, painting in the lines was as good as I\'d ever seen in person, and I thought that the ones on the boxes literally weren\'t possible to remake because they were \"professional\" paintjobs.

Oh the difference a few years with Internet access can make ;)

I hope to see the rest of your new toys get painted soon, one of them is showing in the background of the pics!

I have to say that is a pretty impressive display of army painting... I\'ve got an empire and orc army that are just absolutely terrible... Most aren\'t even close to that level.When I first started I never came close to that level, and the \'eavy metal jobs made me doubt that I could ever do it right...
If you just slowly add units to the army and repaint a couple every now and then you could easily have a incredibly well painted army. At least thats my plan with my Blood Ravens...

Sorry to sidetrack the thread a bit :D

Do you have any pics of your Blood Ravens posted anywhere? That Librarian looked good at the painting comp (even with the force staff drybrushed in the truck on the way over lol) and I\'d love to see any more that you\'ve got.

BTW I exchanged 2 of my Chaos battleforces for Ravenwing ones yesterday... 3 Ravenwing sprues per box. Awesome that makes 7 total, and 2 of the Veteran Sprues from the big box. I\'m set I think :)
