OK got a bit of work done over the weekend... didn\'t do nearly as much work the last couple of days as I would have liked to, I have a friend in the hospital who obviously takes priority over anything hobby related at the moment.
In the little bit of time I did have to devote to the hobby the last couple of days I advanced the Chaplain conversion a little bit. The guy in the picture has a massive black cloak blowing in the breeze, and I have brutally (and painfully, see the blood on the model in the picture!) removed the quiver from a Wood Elf cape, tattered the edges somewhat, and carved it up to fit on the back of the Chappie.
It looks good on there I think, it really fits the flow of the model perfectly and the folds even fit around the big lantern thing on his belt. Purely by chance, but I\'ll take it!
I\'ve also planned out what exactly I\'m gonna do to convert all the bikers in the Ravenwing squads... the little foot plate thingies under their feet will be modified, the bolters will be painstakingly swapped out for converted current style MkIV bolters, and the Sergeants will all get de-Chaosified Chaos bikes. They have a different set of front forks, exhaust, engine and tank designs so it should be fun to have them stand out a bit. The main difference is the front end obviously, they don\'t have fenders.
One of these Sergeants will be converted to look like the guy in the Codex... I\'m sure it\'s the picture that inspires all the Harley style conversions you see being done. No front fender, drum fed bolters instead of clips, and he has a wicked flag instead of the big feathered thing stuck behind his seat. Should be fun!
