Glad you like the changes I\'m making to the typical DA style, like I\'ve said they just aren\'t gritty enough in the studio colors if you ask me. Getting dirty is something I\'m really starting to enjoy when painting
Anyway the bolters have ejection ports on
both sides of the body, which is something I never understood. Whatever! Not my fault! lol
I considered trying to filet the winged skull icon and transplant it on the other side, but that\'s a ton of work and I simply don\'t have enough bolters to screw around with that kind of thing. I\'m already taking guns out of peoples\' hands for these bikes.
Finally, regarding bases, I really wish there was something in between for bases. 30x60 would be about right if you ask me, but the standard bases are 25x50 and the big oval ones on that article are 40x60. They\'re huge. Plenty of room for making them pretty, but it\'s gonna also take a lot more time.
40mm round bases are something a friend of mine used for his White Scars force, and I quite honestly don\'t approve. The bases barely stretch all the way between the tires. 60mm round bases would simply be too impractical for all of them. There just doesn\'t seem to be an easy solution for what I want to do. Ever

Two things I forgot to mention from before:
1) I was seriously hoping for proper feathers on the new DA bits, there\'s 1-2 on them all combined and they don\'t look as good as other armies\' plastic feather bits. New Empire models have a few awesome ones to make me jealous. They are a bit cleaner than the old metal ones, but the armored feathers are a bit disappointing.
2) I quite often hilight black with Bleached Bone these days... I\'ve heard people praising a lot of these kinds of colors. Rotting Flesh, Bronzed Flesh, etc. It does add a bit of life to the shades for sure.
