Milosh's Pin-Ups and Hot Chicks WIP log

The standard rule of thumb I use for converting nominal scales is:

fractional scale base x size in mm = 1800

So, for example 1/20 scale is 90mm, 200mm is 1/9, 75mm is 1/24

It's pretty reliable for nominal scale.

This would mean that your 80mm girls would require a 1/(22.5) scale.

Your 1/24 car will be a bit small and 1/20 car a bit large.

Somehow, I think even an avid auto modeller might not notice the car :)

those are good numbers to keep for future reference. I just making a wedgie out of it so hopefully it won't be noticeable.

I'd love to get another Andrea - it's just hard to justify the $60 when I've got SOO much that needs painting right now. Though I do have a birthday coming up - maybe I can get someone to get me one haha.

I would err on the bigger side for the car that way the girl looks more petite, Unless of course you are looking to make her appear bigger like the 50' tall woman - actually, I'd like to see what you could do with that theme!

Fantastic work! Love the clothing, wonderfully done. Yes, definitely one to hold on to. Don't let her out of your sight! :)

Thanks fella's I'm glad she is liked. Taking her to Atlanta in February so we will see how she does.

In the mean time I made a start on this Fairy figure from Aradia miniatures. I'm not super impressed by the figure/casting, it is a little soft and lacking some crisp details in the eyes.

You know, if you left her wingless she could pass for Ariel after she got her land legs ;) Lovely work on her face already, those soft blends bring out her features without too much definition which often makes female sculpts look "manish". I think I'm a little smitten with this lady

Thanks Zab, I am kind of considering leaving her wings off just as you say. It is too bad about the eyes because everything else is really well done on the figure. It is a printed digital sculpt as the master, so my guess is the sculptor failed to create enough definition in her eyes to cast well. The feet and hands are perfect but her waist could have used a little more work too.

Nice skin tones as always sir ! the general look at the moment reminds me of 10,000 years B.C., shame on the eye detail but you've covered the fact really well

Nice start on your new girl, Milosh. I'm also planning on picking this one and painting her up for my mom's birthday in May.. I have also finally pulled the trigger and bought one of the Andrea's pin ups. I picked up the firefighter one. I'm planning on painting her up for my father, since he is a retired firefighter. I'm hoping that I can do it justice. I will prolly be throwing you a few PMs along the way. I'm hoping to have her assembled and primed tonight. I will post some pics in my WIP.

Well, despite the casting issues you've done an excellent job with this one. The eyes look great. Difficult on a regular mini, even more so when the cast is poor. It's an interesting pose, I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of scene you create for her.
