This is my first post on the forum so hello everyone! :D
Recently I started sculpting my first mini. Here it is:

He will be holding halabard, pike or something like that (havent decided yet). I still have problems with smoothing greenstuff and I have feeling that his back is to big (from some angles he looks hump-backed :p)

Thats a great start Dzony.
Dont worry too much about anatomy to start. Its VERY difficult to get anatomy correct. I suggest you concentrate on just getting a feel for the putty and how to work it getting it smooth etc.
Also I posted some pics on the last page of human muscle structure that are good to check positioning etc.

\"klute, that zombie looks really disgusted at something he has seen \"

That\'ll be his innards when he is finished.:|~

Oh yes, I found them when I started this sculpt, very very helpful.

I love the Orion mini, I\'ve used that one for a conversion myself :) I can\'t wait to see an updated pic. The triceps looks good to me, as long as you follow the left arm fairly you should be ok.

Granddad!
here we go then

well this weekend I reworked the following:
Torso, Abs, Ext. Obliques, & Seratis, also a bit on the lower Pecs
R.Arm, Bicep, ( think the vein is a too big)
L.Arm, Bicep, Tricep (got about half way through it)

Oh, and a sun tan too :D
It was so hot in Bognor my green stuff kept going off before I\'d used it, had to resort to putting it in the freezer :D
here\'s some pics

A sculpt i am currently working on. The head is being a bit of a pain, sculpted 1 to find i had botched the scale so had to re-start. Not sure what detail to put onto the sculpt next, most likely gems and pouches, although any inspiration from you guys would be greatly appreciated :)

oooh! me likey :D
looking good ED, what did you use magic sculpt?
hmmm..... gems and pouches it is then, you\'ve done the wraithbone, warlocks/farseers don\'t usually have much else

Thanks Mick!,

Super Sculpey and green stuff are what i use atm. The wraithbone was easy to do (fourth attempt lol) once i had a few goes at it.

Unfortunately i don\'t still have a clear idea of how i want this to finish up, hence the trawling for inspiration. Although, taking shots of the WIP and repeating them on a printed page has helped as i have been able to conceptually draw what i \'think\' i might like before actually trying it.

Got a lot more respect for sculpters now than i had when i started, so much that imho i believe it to be more challenging than painting.

Thanks Mick i just posted the image.

That orion is looking pretty sweet btw. Although i suppose if i was to suggest anything it would be that there is too much \'fur\'
The torso is looking great, but i am still not sure on the bulging vein.

Granddad!
Thanks

I\'m gonna have rumage through some of my muscle mags, but yeah I\'m pretty sure it\'s too big, bit of a

@Mick22: Wow, he\'s looking good, the vein though is a bit too large, looks like it could pop any moment :p I looked a long time at the one arm, then the other, but they actually look just the right size... Not a sculpting master or anything, so don\'t take my word for it ;) hehehehe....

Extremely nice work Mick, wonderful sculpting, although I agree the vein is a bit too varicose; I think the tree-huggers all have high blood pressure though because of all the intoxicating herbs :D
Eclypse: Also wonderful! I really like the flowing cloak, and the wraithbone is awesome. I would like to see the staff a bit thicker though, it looks like it is made of bamboo cane atm :D Maybe for extras you could give him a gun in a holster? I have little idea about Eldar, forgive me.
Great work all! :bouncy:
