Btw guys if you want to know what I'm after when painting is textures and color play. Be it weathering , crusted blood , dirt whatever I can throw in "carefully planned" but nonetheless texture brings another type of pop to the model and after all I just can't see how others do anything else. This is why it's my goddamned team, army etc lol it's my party and ill cry if I want to... AFTER ALL "I AIN'T AFRAID OF NO GHOST"!! Lol sorry but that's what you get when you drink a fifth of Yukon jack !!! LLLOOOLLL - TO ALL MY DEAD HOMIES (pours out a bit of Yukon jack)

You're even more fun half-cut than usual BaM.
Blood Bowl players are looking great, left hand one is particularly outstanding. The red and blue glazes on the face really make it

Damn man very impressed :good:
Love the blues in the shades, a simple mini not over complicated by a fussy base.
Excellent !

ditto. I think these are the reasons you won and your entry model showcases the Gladiator personna that Arena Rex is selling. Well deserved win.

I'm not new to your thread and have been following it from the start. I love orks and green skins of all types and have always thought you did them justice. Then I had enforced time away from the hobby and now that I've recently been back I just have to say WOW! What an improvement.
You well and truly deserved the win with your gladiator. The skin nuances are sublime. The colder desaturated hues make him look the gritty and dogged fighter he is. Nice work on the metals too. Both of the orks you have painted for CB entries are sweet but I especially like the full standing figure. Great work on the greenskin. A real quick SBS would be nice just listing your greens. I like to see how others arrive at their end result as it might be a more intelligent approach to what I do....even if the end result is the same. Also, what manufacturer is he by as its a nice sculpt?
It's been a while since I've invested in a GW mini but I have to say their ogres are a little more pleasing to the eye than those of times past. Needless to say the paint job has helped that along too. The blood has given them a menacing kick ass vibe. The unusual blue is quite striking against the skin. Your team so far makes me want to bust out my slightly older Imperial ogres and remove anything Cadian off them so I can paint them a nicer colour as mercenaries.
