Inferno -

I'm going to have to check that out!

As for the cloak, I am of the mind to just leave it off at this point. :in-love:

Aye! leave it off. If you feel like adding something to emphasize the dynamic of the pose, instead of a cloak, you could always add some flowing ribbons on the back of her neck guard.

Looking really nice Trys!

As for the cloak - re-sculpt time! Have it billowing back and to the left side (as you're looking at her back) and you'll still be able to see what ya want to see. ;)

Yeah there is no way you can cover up all that great shading and highlighting now! Yeah that is a good idea I think. I don't know how they'd work but the ribbons seem a great idea, and make it look like she was really running and add some more "movement" to the sculpt.

So just as I thought I was close to finishing this mini, it's threatening to run away on me. I have the ribbons sculpted, and as part of the idea for the base, I had to sculpt something else from scratch. I'll put up pics later, but it'll all come together once I'm done. I swear!

I bring you - ribbons!

Don't mind the odd blue tinge, it's my camera being retarded. I still have to paint the ribbons, but I need to finish my other sculpty-bit first.

And here's a size comparison, so you can see what a PITA that stupid bird has been:

Ahh I thought we were back to normal programming there then BOOM! Violet Beauregarde has been at the chocolate factory again...

Looking awesome when it's not ultra violet though =P Some reason i've been having trouble with pics too recently...hmnnn.

Those ribbons work really well, nice touch. Good job making them agree w. her hair too. I bet that bird was a PITA to sculpt, so tiny. But he came out well. :)

Torn - that's because the wonky wonka pics were taken with my cameraphone, which isn't playing nice with the brown envelope and ottlite suddenly. The truer color pics were taken with a proper point and shoot.

I'm hoping to get the bird's other claw done, and make some major progress on this today. I'm close to the finish again. But I have to take some time to go teach a friend and his blood angels that Lemartes and Mephiston don't equal insta-win. I've been unsuccessful so far.

i just noticed, without the distraction of that most impressive ass, on the frontal pictures she has got the biggest hips i've ever seen on a skinney bird, you'd nearly think she was up the duff. not a complaint just an observation

She is definitely, ah, more of a pear shape. As you said, not a complaint. Just an observation.

The official term is child-bearing hips.

But I do have to admit that waist/hip ratio is extreme - I blame it on Barbie ;)

Very nice job on the ribbons although at first I was a little worried because it almost had a manga/anime look about it. Not really sure, it's a bit hard to define. I'm sure paint will help tremendously too.

And doggone it - how did I miss that bird? I gotta go back through the thread. Is there a scale comparison shot for it?
