Thanks guys! Ok I think she is done. These photos came out a tad over exposed, but for a quick hitter I think they are good. Any issues before I slap 'em in the gallery?

Oops! I forgot her wrist watch. Do you think I should go with the lighter photo background?

I didn't want to say anything, but yeah, the lack of numbers, hour and minute hands on that watch really detracts from the overall look. Good luck with painting in those details...:sinister:

Nice work Demi. I know your keen to have constructive crit, I think you need to increase the contrast ,Bring some darker tones into the NMM on the wrist where the watch is, a couple dots for the watch is fine. darkening the recesses with make it pop. Awesome to see how your work has got so good while I have been away.

Indiglo? She is all high tech.

Yep. pretty much. The whole unit has these little things sculpted on their left arm. not my favorite part of the minis. I did green glowy since you can't see the green glow on the front of the hand if you are looking at it.

Err, RIGHT arm.

Canny, nice to see you around! Thanks for the nudge! Added some lining to the wrist and tightened up the NMM :)

Starting to get jealous here....incredible job. You are really starting to get a hold of color theory and light theory. Good technical piece here. What I mean is that you capitalized on contrast, and not just light and dark contrast, but temperature, saturation, and hue as well. You used all of those to push eyes to the focal point; her beautifully crafted and painted face. But with temperature you used colds all around and then such a warm face. You shaded warm pants with cold color, you shaded a warm jacket with cold grays. A heavily unsaturated armor and such surrounded by a saturated coat and hat, with saturated glazes on the face, etc...bravo good Sir! Bravo!!!

Thanks Man! You know I have been working on those greys for the last few months. All the way back to my space men. I got pretty excited about Sprokets write up on his blog about his pallet for uncle john. He uses a lot of purple. Purple with grey is neat because temperature stays neautral (red&blue = purple) but you clearly have some nice color contrast going. Here is a link to Sprokets article.

The other thing I did was follow the box art. If you look carefully at the box art for these guys. Mr. Giraldez does all of the contrast building shading tricks, he has green and reds and blue and purple working in his shading.

The face painted itself :)

I kind of hate you for how easy you are making it look. You need to start making some mistakes or I may think you are some kind of robot... or witch... or robot witch. :suspicious:

I think you two wish he was a robot, so there was a logical reason why he's so quick and good on these small mini's !
Keep up the great work Demi
