I will add some pure white to increase the glare on the armor in a couple places, as well as some purple reflection to appease Bailey03.
One of the most important lessons you will learn from this site: always paint so as to appease Bailey03!
I agree with MAXXxxx, the purple is really fantastic. And I think the NMM is definitely your best to date. As for the reflections, like MAXXxxx said, just some glazes to start could be enough. You want the armor to pick up a hint of the purple, not glow with it. Take a look at some of the top NMM painters and see how they handle stuff like that. My advice on the freehand work is don't worry about making it perfect on the first pass. When I do a design or picture, I go over it again and again and again. For a picture, try using some thinned down paint to do a rough sketch on the figure. Then, using that as a guide, you can go back with less thinned paint to clean it up and add detail. Over the course of a week or more, I'll reevaluate the image and go back to make adjustments multiple times. The more time you spend doing this, the nicer the end result should be. Take my steampunk chick as an example, I showed an image of the first pass at the striped pants and they were pretty rough. Then I showed my 2nd or 3rd pass at them. I'll go back for another 2 or 3 passes when I highlight and shade. Each time the tweaks and adjustments will get smaller.
The way you keep improving, we really need to get you out to some of these live competitions. The way this piece is going I'd think it would definitely be a contender for a Crystal Brush in Fantasy Single.
Oh, and I also think the green for the eyes works just fine
