Thanks guys, and yeah Krule, I love painting purple. I used in my Black Templars army, I use it in my Legion of Everblight army, I use it as much as I can.

Yeah, I thought most of the Euro's would skip Crystal Brush next year because the World Model Expo is in Chicago 3 months later, thought they'd only want to make one trip. But I see the allure of a $10,000 check is just too much!

Rem there are over 600 artists on cmon who each can claim victory over the others even if a handful of names go to 1/ the 2 contests ,if they all show up like last time ,and I mean even half of the 600, that means there still are 300 well versed competitors so the only thing to do is become in that 600 count...

Ha, yeah, from now on, no matter the competition, I'll treat it like the standard will be the way CB was this year or better. Really push myself to higher level. I've already converted a figure and built a base for it that hopefully brings out the story telling aspect that people are looking for now. And hey, if I get like 12 more votes on the Abyssal Warlord I may crack the 700 count, currently sitting at 870 on CMON.
I already started to put some cash aside for next year, I will sure not miss a chance to see in person the one (Bohun) who inspired me to become the painter I am today.
I swear I will try my best to give sweats to anyone who will be there next year. I am already started the machine, what do you say Flu that it's going to be impossible to find a place to stay cause of the expo? Can we crash at your place? Can I send you an entry?

Just make sure you're on the Adepticon email list, they'll let us know as soon as the hotel blocks go up. There's also many close by hotels where people stayed. I'm getting a room at the con next year, after driving from the city to the con every day for the past 2 I'm done with that. I'm also going to take as many painting classes as I can, so it will be good to be on site for them.

So much going on over here these last days! ^^
That new setup for taking pictures is really working a hundred times better. AWL is looking gorgeous under it!
On his base I am with krule if you cannot "polish" the base I would rather paint it all black or all clear. But I can see that all that height painted black may look a bit weird... so take it with a pinch of salt.

It's always a shame when good resin goes bad. Well in this case it wasn't the resin's fault but the plastic, oh well. More work done on the priest. Space Marines are like a nice reset button, work hard on a big project, then do a SM, another big project that takes a while, then do a SM. Brings you back to 0.

Thanks, Diggs, some of the freehand does need to be cleaned up some though. It's close to finished, after sitting half done for close to a year the rest of the model went pretty quick:

I agree with Tero... Red is super bright atm. it "glares" a bit too much, but that's maybe because it's close to green in some parts or maybe its due to lighting? I do not know.
Face and freehand look great!! though freehand could be a little bit more sharp, still I do not know if that's your intention... So maybe "half faded" like how it is now, blends better with the miniature and does not distract the eye.

I was mostly going off the box art for the red and green stuff, I can try to change it a little and darken it, and change the green tubes going into the drill.
