So, I was wondering, what is the best or most recommended time to blackline. If it is figure dependent, it would be nice to know what type. But the question is, do you blackline first, before you paint, or do you paint (paint skin, clothes, weapons) then do the blacklining.

It\'s good to hear how much you mix it in. I use Vallejo\'s Dilutant thinner which is mixed in a bottle already.

I been reading up on how to blend. I read the tutorial article but that is great for large areas, maybe for small but I can\'t seem to make it work without leaving brush marks. I read alot on how not to drybrush cuz it leaves it chalky. But I also read how not to wash too much cuz the paint...

I have never done pinning before. Seems like my glue holds well. But I\'m wondering what is the benefit, other than being more sturdy, I would assume, to having a figure pinned. Will it become a necessity later as you become better as a painter?
