She\'s very artsy/craftsie, but for some reason the concept of painting minis is lost on her.

I did talk to my wife about some of this. Not so much of a WTFO confrontation, but I did want to know what her deal is.
For her I think it might be a \'money\' thing, but between the 2 of us we make enough money to keep our house going, and bills paid with money left over. My Mini habit is not so consuming where we cannot pay bills, nor is my mini time infringing on chores, or family time. But when she sees $x, $y, and $z from GW, CMON, or the local stockist, she gets pissed off.
No out of control spending issues, but she may be predisposed towards this due to her family\'s spending habits. I\'ll keep quiet about that.

Sorry to vent, just got a little jealous of everyone else\'s SOs supporting y\'alls \'habit\', when I have to go it alone or catch flack for it.

9mm, back of the head, hole in garden, tell friends and family she\'s gone to join a cult.

;)

Me: Hey dad, look at this!
Dad: Oh, a new miniature...
Me: Right. Look at these details.
Dad: Don\'t you have like hundreds of these already?
Me: Yeah, but not this one!
Dad:

My mom loves my minis, always tells everyone she knows how great I can \"paint those tiny little metal figures\". Heh.
And there\'s no SO to bother me, so I have no troubles in that department. But I can understand that some people just don\'t get it. I mean I don\'t get people who collect Bavarian beermugs either.

And see, I\'m the reason Mike and his wife still get along well. Isn\'t that great? Glad to be of service. If anyone else needs a painting shrink... :D

I think most the people on this site who collect beer mugs are only interested in them when they are full. Once the mug is empty it loses all value.

Well, if it makes you feel better, my first wife didnt get it either - especially after I didnt go ballistic when she was a better painter than me.
