Me too, sorry I haven\'t been around lately.
But you better send me a pm or an e-mail, I\'m really busy and may forget to check the forums.

Well it has made it to $3000.00, with just under 3 days to go. Way to go Chris, you are the man.

On a side not I won the auction for the Paint Aid Test run Sylvan Animae Confrontation Rackham figure. I was hoping that it would of gone higher, but I am happy that I was able to help out in some small way with Paint Aid. :)

I don\'t want to put a dampener on this, but if cfwheels wins (god bless his soul), won\'t it defeat the point a bit? He could have commissioned people for the army at that amount if he had the cash. If someone from \'outside\' the whole auction would be more justifiable. Just a thought

I don\'t see that Rev..

It is irrelevant who buys it surely.

Besides, what about the additional contribution from GW???

I\'ve a seed of a thought in my mind that it would be daft to have a winner from our own community after all the shit that, say, Mike has gone through to get this up and running. It would seem almost wrong that the whole affair blew up in such a way for the army to go to one of the crowd here. GW are doubling the money, fair play. I\'m sure they would have done that anyway due to the exposure they\'d get. Let\'s just hope next time there are no health concerns, rows, delays and everything else.

I can\'t quantify my thoughts very well on the matter, but it seems kind of silly, that\'s all. I\'m not looking to open up old arguments either. Can\'t be arsed with rowing any more. I\'m too mellow to bother.

In a nutshell, I find it peculiarly unsettling.

I understand your point Rev but I think that it is better for it to sell for a good price to someone from Cmon rather than say sell for a poor price to an e-bayer who is going to wait to get it for as little as possible ie wait until the last seconds of the auction and get a steal.
Whilst Chris possibly could (if he wins) have commissioned the scheme, it isentirely possible that another Cmon member using a different alias as an e-bay trader could win.
Surely the aim is to get as much as possible to give to charity and the eventual owner should therefore IMHO not realy matter.

Alright, fairy nuff. Like I said, I\'m not kicking off or anything. Glad you could equate to what I was saying somewhat. Here\'s hoping the price rockets in the end...

$3550.00 - I\'m feeling good at this point. I also note that the money raised is pledged to go to the American red Cross. I think at the end of the day, though the intent was to support the Tsunami Victims the Red Cross (at least in Australia) discloses the money may be used for other purposes, including helping those hurt by Katrina. Please tell me if I\'m wrong.???

I am very pleased with the way this is going and would like to congratulate in advance whoever wins the army, very well done indeed.
