nice work there spacemunkie! i especially like the \'burns and the cigar. one suggestion - make the index finger on his left hand look as if it on a trigger (ie out a bit) - you know what i mean?
you painted it fist and THEN sculpted dread on his head? lol thans insane (but it did work quite well, looks great, altho i cant see much on the dark pic)
@Josh....look at the first pic posted before these...I painted him and noticed a bump on the side of his head...it was either strip the head and repaint or sculpt some hair on.
@Scott.....thanks,he will be finished very soon.
@Duende.....is this a teaser for something to come??
@Duende......IMO it would be better making a bigger transition between the browns and greys on the chest. The sharp switch makes it look unfinished to me.
Looks good Duende, I would like to see the back of it to see how youve joined the wings onto the back of the model. I agree with Mark that the transition between brown to grey needs to be more gradual. Look forward to seeing it finished.
Great idea for that devourer! It could definitely pass itself off as a black spiral dancer (evil moon puppies from werewolf rpg). All it needs is some glowing green tattoos.
Getting very clost to finishing this now just the base to finish off ands then I\'ll be adding it to my gallery. I\'ve realy enjoyed this mini it was great fun to paint.
Hope you like it as much as I have enjoyed painting it.
Klute Eh mon I am likin the dreads,cha... I also thought it quite amazing that you sculpted after painting but I see your point... talented man between that and the joke on Becca kudos
Itchy I see a line in the picture where the hair breaks( about a mouse pointer from the end ) it looks like you could go shorter there otherwise it need to go longer any thing but the too much wind in hair look.
@Duende .......yes I fully understand that you are using the bat as reference and if thats what you want then by all means do it,it does look great.
Personally I think transfering if to the figure I would use a bit artistic liscence and blend it more.
Tip...have you seen KittyKat32uk\'s tutorial on painting fur,it would look great for something like this. LINK
